Wowza. What’s a person to do?
“I’ve always has a sixth sense, an intuition about things like this,” says Bela, founder of Smart Dating Academy, based in Chicago. “My friends started asking me for dating advice when I was still a teenager.
“One night in college I met a man and just had a feeling. When I got back home I said, ‘Audrey, I met your husband this evening.’
“She says, ‘What?’”
“But five years later, sure enough they got married and now they’ve got two children. I’ve got a big business background, but I’ve always known this what I wanted to do with my life, but how to do it?”
As you might expect, Bela has an easy conversational matter and, yep, she’s been married for 14 years and has two kids. “I think sometimes people start businesses like this just because THEY want to find someone. But for me it really has been a calling. I just had to figure how to turn it into a business. I had to really get my spine into it.
“I thought I wanted to be a matchmaker,” says Bela, “until I figured out what people really needed.
